FLY FISHING WITH MIKE

Hello my name is Mike Todd,

I am a licensed, insured and bonded fishing guide.

Have always liked fishing, but found fly fishing to be the most rewarding and exciting style of fishing I have ever experienced. There is part science, part art and lots of excitement with fly fishing. The science involves the entomology where we learn about the bugs the fish eat. The art involves the tying of flies, casting and the presentation of the fly to the fish. The excitement is my favorite part, wether it's fighting a big Sacramento River Rainbow Trout on a fly rod or teaching and watching others fight great fish. I have been fishing and guiding in the northern California area for years and love sharing the knowledge acquired over the years.

I have a Willie drift boat with level floors, front and rear casting stations for your comfort. With a motor allowing us to drift productive waters more and to motor through areas that do not hold fish allowing more time in the more productive waters. The Fall river is a slow moving spring fed river requiring a different boat. I use Lowe 1652 with a 20 HP motor for the Fall River. The 52 inch width makes it one of the most stable boats to stand and cast from on the Fall River.
